No proper way to begin my first post! Contrary to what I would like, I tend to be a woman of many words to describe something simple. Most of you probably know that. Therefore, I don't know where to begin, but I guess all that I want to share will eventually get posted. I must say, I never thought of myself as a blogger, though I love to write... this may turn out to be more of a 'diary' for me to record stuff!
I was first inspired by a blog a couple of years ago, after reading Pioneer Woman. What a story- her life was turned upside down when she met, fell in love with, and married a rancher. I guess you could say my life was turned upside down when I met, fell in love with, and married my husband! Now I wake up and find myself, a simple country girl, living in Malaysia!
Where is that, you may ask? (check out the map links below each page... it's by Singapore and Indonesia) I certainly didn't know, but I happened to have a couple of wonderful friends who came from there. Life after college consisted of me working and waiting... waiting for a lot of things. Waiting on the Lord mostly... as He was teaching me to be patient! I wanted Him to show me what I would do with my life, who I would marry, where I would live. So many questions that every young person deals with! And yet, just like that, He can show you. If you ask with faith, you will receive, and you'd better be ready for the ride.
And so, I want to share about how God works in my life, as He works in all lives. Sometimes helping us do things that we never thought we'd be capable of! I will share about our life in Malaysia, which is not always easy, sometimes frustrating, and ALWAYS interesting. I will share about my husband- a wonderful, picky, hard-working man who is starting his own business- I love him very much!
My hope is that you can read my musings once in a while, as it can be hard for me to keep everyone informed whom I would like, with so much distance in between. I don't want this to seem impersonal to anyone, as family and friends are most important to me! But, since we are now so technologically advanced in this day and age, I'll try this as a means of keeping in touch.
In the words of the farmer, from 'Babe'... 'at'll do... for now. Hope to be back soon!
